Eating Well in Paris, France
My favorite part of Paris is most likely the fact that you can’t go wrong. Most places we ended up at, except for Pozzetto, were chance. We were hungry or thirsty or craving something sweet & stumbled into a place nearby that made us merry, fueled flâneurs once again.

Le Boulanger Bio
(Boulanger et Patisserie, 21 Rue de Dragon)
Finding a baguette sandwich in Paris is easier than anywhere in the world, but of the ones I had, the poulet crudités from this place was my favorite. Some baguette sandos are kind of lackluster, in need of more filling. This one nailed it. Roasted chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, crisp lettuce, a creamy mayo spread and some sort (if you don’t like mayonnaise but have never had mayo in Europe, don’t turn your cheek until you’ve tried it.)
Le Nelson’s
What a happy accident ending up at Nelson’s was.
I got the seasonal grilled artichoke salad, with generous amounts of (also grilled) avocado, peas, crunchy pepitas, pomegranate and arugula dressed in a citronette. Paired with a glass of Chardonnay and crunchy sourdough baguette.
Absolutely loved it.
The ambience of this café was charming. Warm lights, embellished with greenery that felt like it was taking over in the most beautiful way, rustic edged wood bowls, handmade ceramics & wicker chairs. A restroom that looked like some bohemian cave with more soaps than you could possibly need and and a piano — yeah, I really did see it fit to include this.
When I find myself in Paris again, you’ll find me here.
Bo & Mie
Quick grab & go salads, I got one with salmon, cabbage, carrot, edamame, lentils & peanut dressing. And also one of the better chocolate chip cookies I’ve had. We sat upstairs to wait out a bit of the rain, watching people & giving our feet a break. A lovely time.
Odette
Go grab yourself a croissant, an espresso & seat on the corner. Stay a while
Gelato
“deux boules dans un cornet, s’il vous plait”
Amorino Gelato
One of the better gelaterias which you can find in the States happens to be one of the most prominent here, lucky Americans!

Gelato Caffè Pozzetto
I — I don’t know how to appropriately, adequately, or evenly relatively describe how good this gelato is.

pistache + fraise
yaourt + fraise

coffee
“Pour moi, Un café au lait avec le lait d’amande, sans sucre, s’il vous plait… c’est tout”
Le Peloton Cafe
I’m thousands of miles away from my bike and I think the fact that this is the second café/cycling club that I’ve ended up at is great enough an indicator that I miss it.
