S'more D'Oeuvres
Summertime calls for s’mores!
It’s July, the season of Independence Day celebrations, barbecues, block-parties, potlucks, and parties galore. Whatever the occasion, you can’t show up empty handed. These hors d’oeuvres are the simplest, cutest treat you can bring to the party.
Side-note: depending on your choice of marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers, these can easily be made vegan or gluten free! S’mores are for everyone.
Show up with s’mores and you’re instantly popular. Tell them they’re called s’more d’oeuvres (copyright Kailee in the Kitchen) and you’ll win the crowd over (cannot guarantee)!
S'more D'Oeuvres
Using your best discretion, poke your mallow and carefully toast over the stove (the toastier, the better—objectively)
Poke a toothpick in the end opposite to the original puncture
In a microwave safe bowl, melt your chocolate of choice (mine is always Lindt dark chocolate)
Dip the toasted marshmallows into the melted chocolate to your desired coverage
Sprinkle crushed graham crackers onto the melted chocolate
Refrigerate until it’s time to get the party poppin’!
I hope you love these s’more d’oeuvres as much as my family and I did!
Happy 4th of July to all my pals in the U.S.A!
