Dirty Chai Banana Bread
When chai spices, cold brew, and maple syrup get mixed into banana bread… something magical happens.
I have nothing to say other than I’ve already baked this loaf three times in the past week and there is only one slice left.
Honestly, I’ll let the bread do the talking.
Dirty Chai Banana Bread
Things I used:
Wet-
2 very ripe bananas, or 1 cup mashed
1 egg (or flax egg)
1/2 cup cold brew
1/2 cup maple syrup
Dry-
1 + 1/4 cup whole wheat flour (all purpose flour works)
3/4 cup almond flour
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp sea salt
How I did it:
Mix the wet ingredients together in one bowl and the dry together in another (to avoid over working the flour and making the bread too dense)
Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry until evenly incorporated
Pour into a lined or greased bread pan
Bake at 350° for about 45-50 minutes, check for a clean tooth pick!
Voilà!
Slice into it while it’s warm or reheat a slice in the microwave for an extra good time
