The Spot Cafe

Hole in the wall type of places are my absolute jam!

This little food stop on 2nd St in Long Beach was shown to me by one of my good friends. The first time I came here, I was so overwhelmed by the menu because there are so many great vegan and non-vegan options; bowls, wraps, pizzas, tacos, smoothies, juices. And they've got a fridge with all different kinds of kombucha and a counter full of healthier desserts and sweets.

The first time going, I got the Grilled Chicken Wrap which comes with Mixed Greens, Grilled Ghicken, Cucumbers, Red Onions, Tomatoes, Pepperoncini, Olives, and a Balsamic Dressing. That was bomb, I wish I had a food blog back the first time I went so I could've shared that goodness with you months ago... Gives me another reason to go again!

This time around, I ended up ordering the Chick-a-Bowl which is basically a burrito bowl. It's made up of Brown Rice, Black Beans, Shredded Chicken, Mixed Cheese (which I omitted), Pico de Gallo, Guacamole.

The are so generous with the amount of food you get... I don't think these pictures do the portion size justice. I, someone who's appetite is nearly never satisfied and can keep eating as long as food is in front of me, had to get a to-go box!! I ended up taking 2/3 of this bowl home and ate it for lunch the next two days! Honestly, I wasn't mad about it because 1) didn't have to make food and 2) it still tasted as amazing the second and third time around.

The Spot Cafe gets two thumbs up from me! Healthy, doesn't instigate buyers remorse, and leaves you feeling full and happy.

Go stop by there next time you're in Long Beach!
