I am so so excited to be sharing these delicious little bites of joy with you guys!
If you've noticed, there seems to be a trend in my favorite snacks... They're pretty much all granola/protein bars. I have no shame. I've had the pleasure of trying out Melissa’s CLEAN SNAX® and I'm seriously in love. These bite sized snacks are honestly just mini granola bars, so I'm not stepping very far out of my comfort zone in welcoming these guys into my snack options. But WOW these really are standouts.
These little guys can be found in seven different flavors: Almond, Pumpkin Seed, Coconut, Quinoa, Cranberry, Carrot Cake, and Matcha, all of which are vegetarian, gluten free, low-fat, low-sodium (each flavor has below 50mg) and contain no artificial ingredients. They're jam packed with all kinds of nutrients like chia seeds, flaxseeds, and nuts. Clean Snax are also a pretty darn good source of fiber, which is extremely valuable to our daily nutrition.
Here's the breakdown on the flavors I have tried (and LOVED) so far:
Coconut: 5g of protein, 3g of fiber
Cranberry: 5g of protein, 3g of fiber
Carrot Cake: Okay... carrot cake is by far my favorite kind of cake. How could you not expect me to fall in love with a healthy rendition of this flavor?! This guy has 4g of protein and 7g of fiber (which makes up for 28% of our recommended daily fiber intake, wow)
Pumpkin Seed: 6g of protein, 2g of fiber
Quinoa Crunch: Coming in hot as my favorite flavor of them all with 4g of protein and 3g of fiber!
All of these choices are pretty great snack options to grab on your way out the door or even on your way to the couch... I will definitely be found doing both in the near future.
